Letter of protest to U.S. President Barack Obama dear President:

regarding the case of China's export of passenger tires to the United States, which has attracted the attention of both countries, we have sent delegations to attend the hearings held in the United States for communication and consultation. Through a large number of evidence materials, it is fully proved that China's tire products exported to the United States increased by only 2.2% in 2008 compared with the previous year, and decreased by 16% in the first half of 2009 compared with the same period last year. There is no significant increase at all. The United States closed some factories five years ago due to the adjustment of the tire industry, resulting in the unemployment of one worker in each of the 1000 ton energy storage, power lithium manganate and 800 ton water battery cathode material production lines. The Chinese tires that later entered the American market did not cause the unemployment of American tire workers at all. The ruling and suggestion that there is market disruption in China's tires exported to the United States are not in line with the facts and lack of objective basis. It is not conducive to solving the problems faced by the U.S. tire industry, but also damages the interests of enterprises and consumers representing the production, wholesale, retail, after-sales service, refurbishment, recycling and other aspects of the U.S. tire industry, and hurts the friendly and normal trade relations between China and the United States. Moreover, such protectionist practices seriously violate the relevant provisions of the WTO and US laws, and are therefore extremely unfair and unfair judgments. Here, China Rubber Industry Association and the enterprises involved express strong protest

in this regard, China Rubber Industry Association, tire branch and the enterprises involved in the case of Chinese tires have appealed for many times and sent an open letter to Mr. President to clearly express our attitude and position. Including the American Tire Industry Association, the Cato Institute, a think tank in the United States, and more than 30 institutions in the United States, such as agriculture and animal husbandry, multinational companies have clearly expressed their opposition to the special safeguard measures

in order to better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese tire enterprises, as well as the friendly and normal trade relations between China and the United States. At the same time, we remind Mr. President that the statement issued by the American tire industry association to restrict and exclude the import of Chinese tires will not only help to keep the jobs in the tire manufacturing industry in the United States, but also harm the interests of American dealers and consumers, and will also have an adverse impact on the development of the automobile manufacturing industry in the United States. At present, American technicians cut carbon fiber or glass fiber fabric composites into a series of irregular shapes and wrap them on concrete beams and columns. There are more than 200 tire import dealers and more than 43100 retailers operating in China. Then these dealers and retailers will face a new job choice, and the consequences will be quite serious

we have asked our government to take strong countermeasures against the United States
